Where to Eat...

Breakfast

Brick Alley Pub has a fantastic fruit bowl! Their french toast is better than going to Paris. It is so thick and light, made with a classic New England staple, portugeese bread. The portions on everything are huge. This is the best place for breakfast by far.

Lunch

For lunch I would keep it simple and save the appetite a bit for many of the wonderful choices for dinner! Ocean Breeze cafe right on Thames street is great! If you love seafood like I do they have a great lobster salad.

Dinner

For dinner my favorite is The Red Parrot. The food is wonderful! They have everything from steak to lobster and a kind staff who really compliment your dining experience. But there are literally hundreds of choices.

What to Do...

Morning

The morning is a lovely time to go to the waterfront to stop and have a light breakfast at one of the many cafe's. It is very serene to look at all the boats as the sun rises. It's never completely quiet on the waterfront but this is surely the most quiet time to go have a breathtaking stroll.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, weather permitting I have to be on one of the many beautiful beaches catching some waves. The water here is quite refreshing on a hot day. I prefer second(or Sachuest) beach as they sell the best crab cakes I've ever tasted right there on the beach. Just watch out for those seagulls, they have learned well how to hunt from humans so do hold it tightly and cover with other hand as you bring it and as you eat it. It's quite entertaining watching them steal whole bags of chips and all:-) If the beach isn't your thing Cliffwalk is an amazing three and a half mile walk between the rocky coastline and mansions. There are many museums and tours all times of day and even boat and train tours.

Evening

Ahhh, time to go and shower. The absolute best place to call home is the Hotel Viking! The biggest problem is you may never want to leave it is so truly incredible! It is nestled among the famous Newport mansions on Bellevue Avenue. Now is a great time to either go for some mansion tours or down to the waterfront for the many activities such as concerts or comedians. Too much to mention. Up town a little there are playhouses and theaters as well.

Late Night

My best late night is to hit the hotel and get ready for another busy day but there is so much going on late in Newport. Late night concerts and Thames street alone has about 26 bars and pubs and the waterfront is ever filled with activity. Sometimes there are late night concerts and fireworks. The place is rocking until at least 2am every night.
